2. Science

The word science comes from the Latin “scientia,” meaning knowledge. Science is a systematic enterprise of gathering knowledge about the world, organizing and condensing that knowledge into testable laws and theories. As knowledge has increased, some methods have proved more reliable than others, and in the present scenario, the scientific method is the standard for science.

Objective:

  • Identify the role of different branches of sciences and their implications on society.
  • To test the students’ skills in observation, identification, description, experimental investigation and theoretical explanation of phenomena.
  • To inculcate scientific temper.
  • To create awareness of the contribution of great mathematicians and scientists.
  • To invoke curiosity.
